I got in last night and was greeted by the cutest parents ever! That’s Jancis’s Mom and Dad. Her mom fed me one of the most delicious mangoes ever, then we went to grab a lite bite at their local joint.
One of the dishes is called “sie sie”. I’ll have to ask for the correct spelling or even pronunciation but basically it’s just all sorts of pig head parts mashed into one dish with egg and it’s delicious!
And of course we ate some crispy pig parts…
There was one day at Smorgasburg when the Meat Hook guys were selling two whole pig heads. I think the deal was, one pig head comes with a whole bottle of Texas Pete and a giant thing of slaw but four Philippine women bought the first head and spent about four hours devouring the whole thing. Should have known.
